The Problem
Epic Remedy was fighting the “Colorado Cure.” Colorado’s notoriously dry, high-altitude climate was causing rapid moisture loss, crumbly flower, loss of smell and stickiness, and harsher smoke.
The yield loss alone added up to over 50 pounds per year. Manual curing with hygrometers and hand-burped barrels was extremely labor intensive, and production schedules were dictated by uncontrolled dryback rather than planning.
The Solution
Epic Remedy deployed 40 Cure Pucks across multiple facilities with a simple plug-and-play setup. Each facility manager was able to get pucks online independently using just a phone — no central command system needed.
The pucks replaced all manual burping and gave the team controlled dryback, letting them lock in production schedules instead of reacting to product conditions.

- App-connected curing device from Twister Technologies that monitors humidity and CO2 in real time inside a cure container and runs the burp schedule automatically.
- Colorado Cure
- Epic Remedy’s term for what Colorado’s dry, high-altitude climate does to curing flower: rapid moisture loss, crumbly texture, lost smell and stickiness, and harsher smoke.
- Dryback
- The loss of moisture from flower after harvest. Uncontrolled, it dictated Epic Remedy’s production schedule; controlled, the schedule is set in advance.

- Flower sold in bulk rather than in retail jars. At Epic Remedy it now matches the quality of what used to be top-shelf jarred flower.
