Cure Puck
App-connected curing device from Twister Technologies that monitors humidity in real time inside a cure container and notifies staff when a barrel needs attention.
Burping
Opening a cure container to exchange gas and release moisture. At Kemosabi it is still done by hand, but the app now says when.
Rolling a barrel
Turning a cure barrel to redistribute the flower inside so moisture equalises rather than pooling at the bottom.
Hygrometer
A humidity gauge. The cheap units Kemosabi used lost battery and got buried in the product, so readings were neither reliable nor visible.
Lot
A distinct batch of flower in the cure. Kemosabi runs multiple lots in the same curing room at the same time, which is what made per-barrel tracking necessary.
